3rd Annual Chili Cook-off was Fun for All!

The Deborah’s Place Gas Blast Chili Cook-Off, hosted by the President’s Circle, resumed for its third fabulous year on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Over 65 guests joined us for the afternoon, raising over $3000 to support the women and work of Deborah’s Place.

The “Thai One On” chili vies for votes Veggies, cornbread, desserts, and beverages complemented the chili A contestant, Janie Wu, poses with her “Holy Chili Mole!!”

The afternoon included tours of the building, coloring and balloon animals for families, bluegrass music, a bean counting contest, and, of course, chili tasting!

Out of 13 chilis competing, we are happy to announce this year’s winners!

Thank you to everyone who attended or supported the event, especially to the Professional Auxiliary Board for providing beverages, to the President’s Circle for hosting, to DP staff members for working at the event, and to our many hardworking volunteers who kept the event running smoothly!
