Benefit Dinner exceeds $75,000 goal!

Thank you to all who joined us at the Deborah’s Place Benefit Dinner on Thursday, May 31, 2012.  Thanks to the generous support of our attendees, donors and sponsors we exceeded our goal of $75,000 for the event!

Guests enjoyed a wonderful meal at Fulton’s on the River while enjoying a program that included performances from Her Story Theater’s production of “Gloss Over” based on stories of Deborah’s Place participants.  The night also premiered a short film documentary featuring Deborah’s Place participant, Pauline King produced by Lauren Major of Major Multimedia and a group of students from DePaul University.  These performances highlight the individual stories of the women we serve. Their strength and spirit are an inspiration to us all.

Additionally, Deborah’s Place was proud to welcome former Chicago Bears player, James “Big Cat” Williams as a special guest for the evening.  Mr. Williams generously donated dinner with him and a signed jersey to our auction helping raise more funds for the event.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors for the evening’s festivities, we could not have reached our goal without their support.
