Giving to Deborah’s Place
There are several ways you can donate to Deborah’s Place. You can make a donation to honor the memory of someone you love, or give simply to make a difference in the lives of women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. All contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Even modest amounts make a measurable difference:
- $40 can provide shoes for three women
- $75 can purchase fare cards to get two women to and from their new jobs until they receive their first paycheck
- $125 can purchase bed linens, towels, and dishes for a new tenant in our supportive housing apartments
- $250 can purchase all the food needed for meals at one of our programs for three months
- $500 can pay the security deposit of first month’s rent for a woman moving into her own apartment
- $1000 can help pay the salary for a case manager to assist women to find permanent housing

3. Donate with a credit card over the phone by calling 773-638-6579 during business hours.
4. Join our Circles of Hope giving program. It’s an easy way to make a tremendous difference. When you join, you pledge to donate a set amount – at any level – once a month for twelve months. Deborah’s Place can bill your credit card on the same day every month, or you can set up an automatic payment to have your bank send a check once a month. 5. Join our Partners in Hope giving program. A Partner in Hope is any individual or family that pledges at least $1,000 in support for each year over a three year period. To join Partners in Hope, contact Elizabeth Golden at 773-638-6539 or egolden@deborahsplace.org.
6. Give a gift of stock. When you give appreciated stock, you not only avoid paying capital gains taxes, you can also list the donation as a charitable deduction. To donate stock to Deborah’s Place, Elizabeth Golden at 773-638-6539 or egolden@deborahsplace.org.
7. Support Deborah’s Place through planned giving. Give to Deborah’s Place through a will or bequest as part of your estate planning or as part of annuity trusts, which will provide you with an immediate tax benefit as well as a deferred gift.
