2017 Opening Doors Benefit Raises over $140,000!

On May 11, 2017, over 200 of Deborah’s Place supporters came out to Venue One in for the 2017 Opening Doors Benefit. Local Restaurateur & Master Sommelier, Alpana Singh served as Honorary Chair.

Welcoming and encouraging guests to get involved at Deborah’s Place. She offered a wonderful Live Auction package that raised over $5,000 allowing a lucky guest to hold a wine tasting at The Boarding House with Alpana serving as hostess, sommelier and tutor.

WGN TV News Reporter, Gaynor Hall Patterson was awarded the 2017 Opening Doors Award in recognition of her efforts through PSAs, news segments and networking to educate and draw attention to the work at Deborah’s Place bringing in new donors and resources in support.

Guests enjoyed live musical performances by Ricky Liontones while sipping cocktails provided by Mammoth Distillery and Tenzing Wines. Then ended the night with DJ WindyTimmy providing the soundtrack to dance the night away. The evening raised over $140,000 toward the Deborah’s Place mission.
