Dear Friends,
As conditions around the COVID-19 pandemic continue to evolve, Deborah’s Place is making every effort to put in place the guidelines and practices to ensure the health and safety of our residents, volunteers, and staff, based on the recommendations of public health officials.
Deborah’s Place is implementing the following as of Monday, March 16:
>> All employees who are able to conduct their work remotely will do so for the foreseeable future.
>> All volunteer shifts are canceled through March 30.
>> Group activities have been suspended.
>> Deborah’s Place staff have been advised to cease in-person meetings and reschedule or conduct internal and external meetings by conference call or virtual meeting.
>> We are increasing cleaning procedures at all our sites in accordance with CDC guidelines to support staff who must work on-site during this period.
Deborah’s Place operates 24-hour residential programs and project-based supportive housing. We are doing everything that we can to ensure the safety of staff who do not have the option of working remotely.
We encourage our volunteers and supporters to reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns about the impacts of these changes.
If you would like to assist Deborah’s Place during this time you could do one of the following:
>> Collect and drop-off nonperishable foods for our small in-house food pantries. We anticipate increasing food distribution for the foreseeable future. Items can be dropped off at our main location at 2822 W Jackson Blvd.
>> Make a monetary donation online. Donations made via check may be delayed in processing due to staffing.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.
