Looking to get involved, become an advocate, meet new people, and make an impact? Join the Deborah’s Place Young Professional Board, a group of professionals growing in their careers in the Chicago area who are passionate about serving women experiencing homelessness.
The Young Professional Board (YPB) engages the community and new supporters through fundraising, networking, and advocacy opportunities. Members also develop leadership, communication, and fundraising skills. This peer-driven group builds awareness for Deborah’s Place and our mission to open doors of opportunity for women experiencing homelessness in Chicago.
If you enjoy planning events and supporting charitable work while meeting new people, apply to join the Young Professional Board.
Here are some of the benefits:
- A YPB member is mission-driven, dedicated to fundraising and volunteering. Highly motivated and excited to give their time and knowledge, this person brings diversity of thought and experience that is complementary to the other members of the YPB.
- YPB members will have access to networking and intentional relationship-building opportunities with other leaders within Deborah’s Place, including the Board of Directors.
- YPB members affect change in the lives of women experiencing homelessness as well as raising awareness about topics pertaining to homelessness within the community.
- YPB members will grow the YPB and directly contribute to the board’s strategy around fundraising.
YPB members will receive board training and skill building to enhance personal goals including serving on future community boards.
