Finally, the Conservatory Apartments are ready to welcome their first residents! We have case managers on site, and each apartment is furnished and stocked.
We’re incredibly grateful to Bob’s Discount Furniture, who donated thirty-four mattresses to Deborah’s Place, ensuring that each woman who ends her homelessness with us has a comfortable place to rest and heal. Bob’s Discount Furniture also sent a team of employees as volunteers to help us get the apartments ready to go!
Along with our staff and other volunteers from Real Estate Finance Forum and our Board of Directors, they made quick work of setting up beds, hanging shower curtains, and stocking kitchens. Thanks to their help and generosity, we’re ready to welcome women to the Conservatory Apartments: their new home.
For many of these women, this new apartment will be their first stable home in years, as they exit a cycle of chronic homelessness. As they start this new chapter, case managers will help them to pursue their goals and connect them to the resources they need to achieve them.
None of this would be possible without the support of our community. Want to help us do more? Make a donation, or sign up to volunteer!
